Fall will be here on Monday and I figured I should post an update and let everyone know what we have been up to all summer! It seems all summer long we spent it cooling off in the water. We bought Abriana a kiddie pool for the backyard and James built a platform for it. Abriana discovered the joy of playing with the sprinkler after much hesitation, but once she realized what it was, I could not water the plants or grass without her wanting to play in the water. As a matter a fact last night when I was watering the plants in the front yard she ran through the water–and it was 68 degrees!!! She didn’t care.
In June we went to the beach and had lots of fun with my entire side of the family. In July, James had his company picnic at SeaWorld and Abriana learned all about Shamu. Since then, she’s gone back to visit a couple of times and knows all about the water park. She even sleeps with a stuffed Shamu whale. In August my company had a picnic at Schlitterbahn and Abriana had lots of fun playing in the kiddie park. We really liked going there. There are lots of trees. We will be going back next summer. Orlando kicked off the birthday celebrations in July then the flood gates opened….August..my sister Nelly and her boyfriend Orlando had a baby boy the same day my nephew Cristian celebrated his 2nd birthday in Laredo.
That brings us to September—which I call the Birthday month. My cousin Ali had her baby girl’s 1st birthday party at the beginning of the month. One of Abriana’s daycare friends celebrated her birthday around Sept 6th as well. Our friends Erick and Beck’s daughter Eryka had her 2nd birthday on the week of the 9th. (No we did not attend them all since I was ready to pop!) James and I had our baby boy on September 12th. He is an angel. So quiet for now. Abriana received a big Sister T-Shirt and I’m a Big Sister book from baby James. She is so proud and so lovable to the baby. —always wants to give him a hug. And last but not least…..James and Abriana celebrated their birthdays on the 19th. As you can see, Elmo was the theme (with some backyardigans remnants from last year). Ended the summer season with a bang just as fall is around the corner!!!
